Redmond: Known as the “Bicycle Capital of the Northwest” for its annual summer bicycle derby, the city of Redmond is located east of the Puget Sound, some 15 miles from Seattle. The Evergreen Point Bridge across Lake Washington connects Redmond directly to Seattle offering families who desire a less populated area an easy commute.
