Ocean Park: Ocean Park is located on the Ocean Park Peninsula in Pacific County. Just north of the Oregon border above Astoria, it is a 3 1/2 hour drive from Seattle, and only 2 1/2 hours from Portland, Oregon. The drive from either Seattle or Portland is a pleasant, scenic route with lots of trees, water, and wildlife.Ocean Park began in 1883 as a vacation camp developed by the Methodist Camp Meeting Association. As the years passed it became a resort town that grew along with the Clam Shell Railroad.
