Kingsgate and Woodinville are two picturesque suburban communities located near Lake Washington in King County, some 20 miles northeast of Seattle. Kingsgate is home to some 14,000 residents. Once a heavily forested area, Woodinville was an attractive place for loggers and their families to settle. There were numerous saw and shingle mills in the early years.
