ENUMCLAW REAL ESTATE

Enumclaw: "Thundering mountain" or "loud rattling noise," is the name supposedly given by Duwamish Indians to nearby Mt. Enumclaw. The town, established in 1885, was named for the mountain.

The pastureland surrounding Enumclaw is a noted horse-raising area, producing more than 20 breeds, including Thouroughbreds, Morgans, paso finos and paints.

Enumclaw is the "Gateway to Mount Rainier."

Enumclaw is located in western Washington State, approximately 45 miles southeast of Seattle, and beautifully situated in the foothills of Mount Rainier. With a current population of 11,195, Enumclaw has retained its small town character while benefiting from the growth of the surrounding region.
